Namco Tales Studio created the action simulation game Keroro RPG: Kishi to Musha to Densetsu no Kaizoku, which was released in Japan in March 2010. Namco Bandai Games published it. It's the last game in the Sgt. Frog series and some of the gameplay is based on the Tales series, which makes it a spin-off of the main series.
Keroro RPG is a lot like other games in the Tales series when you're not fighting. During the game, the player goes to different towns to talk to different NPCs, buy things, and move the story forward.
The player, in addition, goes to dungeons, which have different kinds of foes, treasure, and puzzles. The player gets gold and experience points after fights, which can be used to buy different things and level up their party. The player moves through the playing area map, which doesn't always have enemies, to get from towns to caves.
Keroro RPG uses the power source "Linear Motion Battle System," or LMBS, which is different from the other Keroro Games. Like the other Tales games, Keroro RPG uses 2D sprites and combat happens on a single 2D line.
It's also fully real-time, with the player handling one person and A.I. controlling the others when no one is playing as them. Like in Tales of Hearts, there are only three party members in the fight. It's also possible for the player to use attacks with characters from past Namco-Bandai games, such as Pac-Man, The Prince, Taizo Hori, Don Wada, Klonoa, and more.
